IT for Company Formation & Relocation

Secure IT — Independent of Location.

Your company moves. Your infrastructure goes where you choose.

Anyone moving their company abroad, relocating their registered office, or setting up a business in a new location should also carefully consider where data and business applications will run going forward.

That's because a company's registered office and its IT location don't have to be in the same place. Running IT in a different jurisdiction allows the company's location and its technical infrastructure to be deliberately decoupled from one another. This creates an additional layer of geographic and legal diversification and can reduce dependence on the conditions of any single country.

Not every IT location is equally well suited, however. Depending on the country, technical, regulatory, tax, or infrastructure-related factors can come into play. A few examples:

  • Dubai: Government internet restrictions, including certain content as well as WhatsApp and VoIP calling.
  • Cyprus: Risk of local power outages and fluctuating supply reliability, particularly outside urban centers.
  • Germany: Depending on the setup, operating your own server can constitute a taxable permanent establishment.
  • Austria: Here too, operating your own server can, under certain conditions, constitute a taxable permanent establishment.
  • USA: Greater geographic distance from Europe can result in higher latency and slower response times.
